What is the best dry kitten food?
Kittens biologically require a diet rich in protein from whole animal ingredients. That’s why the new ACANA First Feast has been designed to support healthy skin and coat development in kittens, encourage strong muscle and bone growth, as well as healthy eye and brain development and function.

How do I introduce my kitten to ACANA Cat foods?
Start by mixing 25% new ACANA First Feast or ACANA Grain free cat food with 75% of their old food. Slowly change the proportions over the next five to seven days by gradually increasing the amount of ACANA and decreasing the amount of old food. At the end of this transitioning process, you should be feeding 100% ACANA.
How much food should I feed my kitten?
Cats naturally eat small meals, and kittens are no different.
When feeding dry food to your kitten, it’s recommended to start with following the feeding guidelines on your bag of ACANA cat food. But be sure to still monitor your kittens’ growth and weight to ensure they remain healthy, adjusting portions as necessary.
To free-feed or not to free-feed?
Free-feeding dry kitten foods is great to ensure they are getting enough daily intake. However, it is also important that you don’t overfeed them by weighing out your kittens daily feeding allowance. Feeding dry food at specific times can help to prevent weight gain and overfeeding. Every kitten is different, so tailor your feeding approach depending on whether they’re a grazer or a gorger
